Frequently asked
- What does the colour of a rose mean?
- Red roses symbolise romance, love and desire. Dark pink expresses appreciation and gratitude. Light pink is happiness and admiration. White is purity and new beginnings. Orange is passion. Yellow is friendship and joy. Lavender is enchantment and first love. Mixed-colour bouquets are common for anniversaries — appreciation paired with romance, for example.
- Which flower goes with which anniversary year?
- 1st — Carnations. 2nd — Cosmos. 3rd — Sunflowers. 4th — Geraniums. 5th — Daisies. 6th — Calla Lilies. 7th — Freesias. 8th — Clematis. 9th — Poppies. 10th — Daffodils. 11th — Morning Glories. 12th — Peonies. 13th — Chrysanthemums. 14th — Dahlias. 15th — Roses. 20th — Asters. 25th — Irises. 30th — Lilies. 40th — Gladiolus. 50th — Yellow Roses and Violets.
- Can you do same-day for an anniversary I forgot about?
- Yes — and we are not judging you. Order before 1:00 pm for same-day delivery in Kitchener-Waterloo. After 1:00 pm, call (519) 743-3684 directly and we will tell you what we can still do today.
- How many roses should I send?
- A dozen is the classic. Two dozen is the milestone gesture. Three dozen says "I will never live this down if I forget again." The two of us at the shop are happy to recommend based on the years and the budget.
- Can the card be hand-written in cursive?
- Yes. Tell us when you order — our designers will hand-write the card in cursive on a heavier-stock enclosure card.
